
Since being founded in 2004, the Alzar School has accomplished a great deal. Some highlights:
- Almost 37,000 hours on programs
- Over 1,150 hours of service learning projects during courses
- Estimated that Alzar School alumni have completed more than 3,000 hours of community service projects outside of our courses
- Featured on the Nantahala Outdoor Center blog as River Leaders of the Month
- Featured in the Boise Weekly
- Executive Director Kristin Bierle published in the July/August 2009 issue of the Journal of American Whitewater
- Head Teacher Sean Bierle published in September 2010 issue of the Journal of American Whitewater
- Winner of the 2010 Sanctioned Event of the Year from the American Canoe Association for the Camp Cup Challenge
