Since being founded in 2004, the Alzar School has accomplished a great deal. Some highlights:

• Almost 37,000 hours on programs
• Over 1,150 hours of service learning projects during courses
• Estimated that Alzar School alumni have completed more than 3,000 hours of community service projects outside of our courses
• Featured on the Nantahala Outdoor Center blog as River Leaders of the Month
• Featured in the Boise Weekly
• Executive Director Kristin Bierle published in the July/August 2009 issue of the Journal of American Whitewater
• Head Teacher Sean Bierle published in September 2010 issue of the Journal of American Whitewater
• Winner of the 2010 Sanctioned Event of the Year from the American Canoe Association for the Camp Cup Challenge
