Chile is an amazing country that offers an incredibly variety of outdoor adventure experiences. The Alzar School will be returning to Chile in December 2010/January 2011. We look forward to showing a new group of students why our alumni of 2007, 2008 & 2010 fell in love with the long, jagged country and its warm culture. This expedition will feature a mix of whitewater kayaking and mountaineering, as well as our custom “10 Elements of Leadership” curriculum. The school will also continue its support of the Conin Orphanage in Curico and visit the great surfing waves of Pichilemu. Read more or Apply now!
* Tuition does not include required personal equipment or airfare to meeting location.

Revitalized in 2008, the Camp Cup Challenge was back in July 2009 as a two-day event. This event, hosted by the Alzar School and the Dixie Division of the American Canoe Association, brings young paddlers from across Western North Carolina together for a great day of paddling. More than 112 participants had the opportunity to try different events, including the Olympic sport of whitewater slalom. Guest coaches helped everyone improve their paddling.
COMING SOON!!! The Alzar School will soon be offering full academic years of study for students in the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. During these years, students will cover all of their academic courses while exploring some of the most culturally rich and geographically impressive locations on the planet. Our certified teachers will work with students in small groups to help all students progress. Students will earn valuable outdoor credentials and complete authentic service projects.
