Leadership Training
Our school focuses on developing teen leaders because we know that they can be a positive influence in their communities. Alzar School students come to us with an unlimited potential to lead... and they leave with practical techniques obtained in authentic leadership opportunities.
The Alzar School’s core curriculum includes the “10 Elements of Leadership,” our custom program tailored to high school students needs. Our lessons on leadership include discussions of character, community membership and service, and 360 degree thinking. Our teachers and instructors model these qualities, give students the theoretical knowledge they need, then provide chances for students to test their new knowledge in real world.
Our students get the opportunity to work individually and in small teams to be “leaders of the day.” They work to create itineraries, coordinate logistics, and deal with any obstacles that pop up. At the end of their day as designated leaders, students reflect on their experiences in a group discussion and receive feedback from both their teachers and their peers.
When Alzar School students move on to higher education or the workplace, they take with them a toolset that sets them apart from their peers. Having leadership training gives them an advantage that helps them be successful in all kinds of endeavors. Many of our students leave with experience leading in a foreign country, which is a valuable experience in a globalized world.
